The Father's Generosity

Presented: August 22, 2010

Continued study of the Prodigal Son taken from Luke 15:20-24.

Imagine what the scene looked like from the perspective of the servants. Suddenly, they see a commotion and watch their master run full bore across the yard and out the gate. They trail as best they can but he's too far ahead. What they observe next is absolutely amazing.

If the Pharisees were rolling their eyes before, it's nothing compared to now. In a weird twist, it's the father's turn to be the prodigal (Literally: "extravagant").

God is Calling the Prodigal

God's patient love is seen numerous times in Scripture where the message is clear: Whatever you have done and wherever you have been, just come home. It's never to late to turn around and start doing right. No story better illustrates that than the one Jesus told in Luke 15:11ff.

The People of the Sacred Scroll

Presented: August 1, 2010
The most important book ever written and read is God's Book. It informs about the essential questions of man, gives fundamental answers to life, provides us with hope, and communicates truth. The words placed on the page and preserved in your Bible are the most important words ever. Sometimes we forget that. Jeremiah never did.
