It's a Mad, Bad, Sad World

Continued study from the letter to the Philippians on "Contagious Joy." Studying from Phil. 3:17-4:1. It's easy to read - "our citizenship is in heaven" (v. 20a), while not feeling very heavenly. This world may not be our home as suggested by the song, but we kind of, sort of...live here--and work here--and pay taxes here. Fact is, while we're here awaiting our happy heavenly home, the world around us is not all that nice. It's a mad, bad, sad world and we're caught smack dab in the middle of it! So, we study "Why does God leave us here," and, "How to make it count!"
