The Fixation of Worry

Topic: Joy

Presented: February 21, 2010

Continued study from the letter to the Philippians on "Contagious Joy." Studying from Phil. 4:4-9. God made us free--a free mind, a free heart, and a free will. We aren't puppets on a string--we are free to embrace His will or reject it, make good choices or dumb ones. We are free! "All things are possible with God..." It's true. But... He requires our cooperation. The problem is that our free will keeps getting in God's way. Although He made us that way, I can only imagine that it's frustrating to Him when He seeks to help us and we refuse. Some sins get all the "press" and publicity. In Phil. 4:4-9, Paul forces us to zero in on a socially acceptable addiction: Worry.
